Pearl Cantrell of Richland Springs, Texas celebrated her one hundred and fifth birthday a few weeks ago. The reason for her longevity? She told local TV Station KRBC it is because everyone’s favorite piece of pork.
“I love bacon,” she told the station “I could eat it for every meal–and I do!”
Her love of bacon caught the interest of Oscar Mayer, who made a special trip out to Richland Springs, and let Pear ride “shot-bun” in the Wienermobile as it drove around the streets of Richland Springs.
Along with the ride in the famous hot-dog car, Pearl was gifted bacon, of course.
